Our Mission

Students at Big Thompson Elementary School of Nature and Science obtain a well-rounded, in-depth, relevant education integrating basic skills through a broad curriculum with a science and nature focus.

A Snapshot
At present, Big T has an average enrollment of 200 students. The majority of staff members serving our students have completed additional training in environmental education. Big T largely serves students in the rural area west of Loveland, but also a large percentage of children who've transferred in to take advantage of our nature and science program and outdoor educational area. Test scores for Big T students are consistently high, with the majority of students testing proficient or advanced.
